Lots of people ask me if the honey pot tattoo I have is in relation to Winnie the Pooh.
Sorry to disappoint but NO it is not. The honey pot is actually the illustration from the beautiful book known as Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur.
I chose this illustration as it was on my favourite page in her book.
All of my tattoos have a meaning behind them in some way or another, I'm a huge 'quote' person but never wanted a quote written on me. So instead I opt for other illustrations for tattoos to go with those quotes.
Throughout my life I've been given a lot of feedback in regards to me always being kind to others, sounds great right? Well obviously its a great skill to have but me personally, I learnt how to be kind from people not being kind to me- classic circle hey!
'How is it so easy for you to be kind to people he asked
Milk and honey dripped from my lips as I answered
Cause people have not been kind to me
-rupi Kaur'
SEE!? this is the page with my wonderful honey pot on it. MY god have I been through my turn of events to come out on the other side of this and be such happy bubbly person.
NEXT UP I have the classic 'What song is that' for the tattoo on my other ankle!
Do yourself a favour and listen to the song: Daughters, by John Mayer.
He's a god in music world, but this song stuck with me forever.
I guess you could say I have family issues and this song used to make me bawl my eyes out. I live by the words of it.
ANYWHO again I wanted a piece of it with me forever, I hav no idea how to read music? BUT I had loads of friends who could.
I found the guitar chords of my favourite part of the song, and asked one very special person to transfer them into piano notes for me. She did this wonderful task for me, left out a bunch of spacing so we would be able to wrap it around my leg, and thus the tattoo was born in her own wonderful handwriting.
(If you're wondering who this was it was Lizzie Lewis-Williams)
'I know a girl,
she puts the colour inside of my world.
But she's, just like a maze.
Where all of the walls all continually change.'
(Listen to the whole song the opening line is just my favourite)
